On November 10, the Human Rights Council conducted the fourth Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of India’s human rights record.

To appraise member states of human rights concerns about India, we met with over 20 missions in Geneva in August and September 2022, and prepared a tailored fact sheet for each member state.

We facilitated Human Rights Defenders from India to travel to Geneva in late August 2022, and also for the session on November 10. Ensuring representation of voices from India at the UN is critical, and we pledge to continue to facilitate this.
